Parsnip puree is an ideal baby food as it has a nice nutty, sweet flavor and contains calcium and Vitamin C.

Ingredients

Parsnips, any amount you wish

Recipe Instructions

Steam the parsnips.
Wash and peel the parsnips and slice them into 1 inch pieces. Place them in a steamer and steam them until they are tender and mushy.

Bake the parsnips.
Peel the parsnips and cut them in half lengthways. Lay them on tinfoil and drizzle over a little olive oil. Close up the tinfoil and bake them in a 400F oven for 30 minutes until they are tender.

Puree the parsnips.
Puree the parsnips in a blender or hand mash them if your baby prefers food with a little texture. If necessary, add water to achieve a smooth, thin consistency.

Serving suggestions.
You can also serve the roasted or steamed parsnip as finger food for your baby.
