Roast Parsnips in Honey Recipe

A Savory and Delectable Side Dish

Ingredients

900g parsnips; peeled, quartered and woody centers removed
2 tablespoons clear honey
55g butter
2 tablespoons oil

Recipe Instructions

Preheat oven to 220C.

Prepare the parsnips.
Heat a roasting tin on the top of the stove and add the oil and the butter. Add the parsnips and fry them until they have browned on all sides.

Roast the parsnips.
Place the roasting tin in the oven and bake for 20 minutes turning the parsnips occasionally. Remove the roasting tin from the oven and pour the honey over the parsnips. Turn all the parsnip chunks making sure that all the pieces are covered in the honey. Return them to the oven and bake for another 5 minutes.

Finish off the parsnips.
Remove the roasting tin from the oven and spoon some of the honey glaze over the top of the parsnips.
